| Race Summary |
|---|
POLISHED settled in hand, advanced from between horses, waited in traffic
leaving the second turn, bumped STAR CHAMBER and forced his way through entering
the stretch, then quickly drew away once clear. SHERLOCK made a long drive
circling four wide, was unable to match strides with the winner but dug in
gamely to hold the place. BIG REDS LIL FLYER disputed the pace along the inside,
weakened slightly during the drive but had enough left to maintain a minor
award. STAR CHAMBER vied for the lead two wide, was collared between horses on
the second turn, was bumped and forced out entering the stretch, clipped heels
and showed little thereafter. SARVATHA hopped at the start to get away slowly,
was forwardly placed along the inside, but came up empty leaving the second turn
and dropped out. The jockey of STAR CHAMBER lodged an objection against POLISHED
and SHERLOCK for alleged interference leaving the second turn, following the
Stewards review POLISHED was disqualified from first and placed fourth for
pushing his way through leaving the quarter pole forcing STAR CHAMBER over
heels.
