Race Summary

GENTLE EDWIN broke a step slow, rushed to contention four wide, drew even leaving the second turn, edged clear with a furlong to run and maintained a safe advantage. EASY TO REMEMBER attended the pace three deep, bid between horses through the second turn, was unable to match strides with the winner through the drive but clearly proved second best. GOLGATHA disputed the pace along the inside, weakened during the drive and was all out to hold the show. SPIKEY ITALIANO stalked the pace three deep, offered a mild bid four wide but lacked the needed late response. EASY BEING GREEN was unhurried into stride, came four wide to make a belated gain but failed to threaten. BOUNDING BUG passed only his tiring rivals. BOONDOCK ROMEO prompted the pace from between horses for five furlongs and dropped out. SAWMILL was forwardly placed along the inside for a half and retreated. KUGELIS BUDDY was outrun.
