| Race Summary |
|---|
EMBERS GLOWING settled saving ground, got through to make her bid, opened clear
when KENTUCKY PEACHES drifted out, then was all out to just last. TRUE BIRKIN
was allowed to settle, swung five wide to launch her bid, finished full of run
but was just kept at bay. COVER STORY was unhurried into stride, slipped through
to make a late rally and was along for the show. KENTUCKY PEACHES opened clear
to set the pace, kept on well to the final furlong, veered out with a sixteenth
to run and gave way. PEARL OF VALOR was hustled along between horses in mid pack
and went evenly. JIB contended four wide, was bumped and steadied near the
three-eighths marker when EVEN ALY came out and showed little thereafter.
EMERALD GAL passed only her tiring rivals. EVEN ALY chased the pace four wide,
drifted out bumping JIB with three furlongs left to run, ranged up to make a
mild bid but failed to sustain the drive. POET'S EYE was forwardly placed three
wide for six furlongs and dropped out. MONTE CRYSTAL (PER) made a middle move
while racing wide, but came up empty after five furlongs and retreated.
